Planed Player Options
Weapon Classes
The player can choose instead of a model his weapon class, we must try to bring that to the spawn timeline, cause the player should be able to choose a new player if he wants to. Also the player should be able to choose his spawnpoint. For this, and for forcing the player to stay alive better, the spawntime should be 15 sec. With the choose the class he chooses his main weapon (see EngineWeapons?). He can drop his main weapon so that other can pick it up, but everyone can only carry one main weapon.
Additional Equipment
The player will have also a knife and a pistol always. These setup can change on specific modes, so far "Knife Only" would exist and "Pistol Only" would exist, all other modes will have this setup (if you play "One Shot One Kill" you can choose which weapon you use, they all kill with one hit).
Experience / Ranking
As part of the base concept we do a ranking on the core servers which gives a decent qualified statistics over the complete gameplay. There will be medals to turn for performing specific tasks (like playing a specific gamemode a specific time, or get a specific result in a specific kind of round). Beside all this, we will make a ranking concept, different to all others so far, cause we limit the ranking to the number of players. That means you cant go higher and higher by just playing like a wild guy, you must be the best when there is new ranks to be filled, so if you dont play for a long time period you cant get higher in rank, but even tho you dont lose your old one ;). The splitting of this will be probably exactly like the us army splitting for the ranks.
Of course, to prevent "spamming of users" to get a higher rank with the other characters, the limit to get a rank at all (private), must be hard to achieve (like playing every gamemode and every official map 100 minutes at least). These way the original principials of the game are more in the eye of the user, beside that the user can still play "unranked" on gameservers made by players, where there will be no official regulation of blockading. Whatever doesnt harm the user will be allowed.
Movement
The player should be able todo the following actions:
Walk
Regular walking speed, can be done unlimited time.
Run
A double or triple speed more, that is limited to some time, so that you then needs some time to rest to run again.
Reality-Check: If that isnt possible to realize we will make Run-only
Crouch
The player should be able to crouch, there is no faster or slower movement in this mode.
Jump
The player can jump as often as he like, even tho it shouldnt be "faster" then regular walking, and if you jump while you run, you jump as fast as you run. So you can do bunny hopping. Probably we will add a limit to jumping-in-a-row too, even tho we will not prevent bunny hopping that method. If you want to look ridicioulus.. ;)
